Paper Tower !

Last two weeks, our lecturer , Miss Putri Nadeeya gave us a teamwork game which is to build a tower from a paper where the tower must be the tallest and the most steadfast. So, our lecturer gave us 40 minutes to complete the tower by using newspaper and sellotape.

The importance of Creative and Critical Thinking

Whether you personally believe it or not, we are all creative by nature. Every last one of us. Think back to when you were a child and there will lay all the proof you need to realize this simple fact. The important of creative thinking are :

• To generate what that procedure should be in the first place
• The key that opens doors to a whole new realm of opportunities
• To create opportunities all around you
• Gets you out of playing a passive role and puts you in more aggressive mode
• You can develop that initiative of doing it yourself

Critical thinking is the ability to think clearly and rationally. It includes the ability to engage in reflective and independent thinking. The important of critical thinking are :

• They understand the logical connections between ideas
• They can identify, construct and evaluate arguments
• They can detect inconsistencies and common mistakes in reasoning
• They can solve problems systematically
• They can identify the relevance and importance of ideas
• They can reflect on the justification of one's own beliefs and values

innovation project

the last few class we have been told or lectured by miss putri about innovation. so now we need to do our own innovation project. after few days of discussing our class decided to do handprint of Malaysian Flag due to our Merdeka month :)

innovation is coming out with new product. it's not only improving the technology but it is also for a system. for example like accepting changes. well in class miss putri said in 1990 innovation is more on technology for example internet , mobile phone and so on. And nowadays , innovation expands better in management system. now i malaysia we also have our very own innovation bodies which are Ministry Of Science , Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) and Agensi Innovasi Malaysia (AIM). well basically AIM create new wealth like improve the well being of society as a whole for example watering system at rural area, school and more.

innovation is about meeting needs and demands. innovation is not about adding features to a product or services. innovation is about moving forward.

 1) technological - is a major term breakthrough

mobile phones

2) operational - more in manufacturing or company

google office.

can improve and create more innovation value in staff with cool office

sources of innovation

1) within company or industry

     - unexpected things (viagra , penicilin)

     - process needs (enzyme for contract operation ,sugerfree product)

     - industry and market changes (advances in technology , healthcare industry)

2) within social environment

     - demographic changes (change in consumer preference and taste)

     - perceptual changes (fitness erase)

     - new knowledge (video industry , robots)

This activity really really really warm us up! We sweat a lot, running around UiTM after a long time not doing so. Remembering those memories when we used to stay in hostel. We really had fun!
